I love infinity scarves. I had a lot of leftover fabric from the Jumper Dress that I made, so I decided to use that to make an infinity scarf. Here is how I did it.
First, You will need fabric that is at least 72 inches long (or cut two 36 inches [1 yard]) and the width is up to you, but the width of mine was 24 inches.
First thing you will sew is the ends of the 36 inch pieces together.
Once you do that, with the wrong side of fabric out, you will fold those in half, sew across the top and down the side of the fabric.
Now reach in and flip your fabric out.
This is how the ends of the scarf should look so far.
Now, fold the edges of the open end in for a clean seam.
Now, insert the already sewn end into the open end you just folded inward.
Now sew the ends together.
And there you have it! Your very own infinity scarf!

I went to hobby lobby and the chevron fabric was $6.99 a yard but it was 30% off. But you can use any fabric you want!!!

Hi, question what kind if fabric did you use? Was it a knit? And what stich and tension did you use?
godfreykelly7 says
It’s not knit, but you can use knit if you want! It’s just cotton fabric from Hobby Lobby

I’d love to make some of these and use my embroidery machine to monogram them too. Any tips to placement, materials to use, etc?
godfreykelly7 says
Im not so sure about embroidery placement, but I was thinking that it would be adorable to have these monogrammed!
godfreykelly7 says
It would probably be best to monogram in the middle of the fabric half way first, and then sew the scarf

A great tutorial! I have one question…you said yours was 24 in. wide- is that 2 panels of 12 in. or 2 panels of 24 in. Thanks.

You may want to take a better look at your pics you post. Picture #3 has something in it I don’t think you want seen. Just a quick fyi.
